Timelooper - Time Travel Game | Play Online for Free

Master the paradox in Timelooper, a puzzle-platformer where your past self repeats your every move. Coordinate with your echoes to solve puzzles and escape the loop.

A Race Against Your Previous Self

Most puzzle games ask you to think ahead, but Timelooper forces you to live with your past. It’s a minimalist platformer built on a fascinatingly frustrating premise: you aren't just navigating a level; you’re choreographing a dance with every version of yourself that came before. The concept of being your own best friend and your own worst enemy is literal here. If you move efficiently, you’re a hero. If you hesitate or stumble, your next "loop" is going to be a nightmare to navigate.

How to Play: The 10-Second Echo

The core hook of Timelooper is the 10-second reset. You have a brief window to move, jump, and interact with the environment before a ghost of that exact performance spawns at the starting point.

To clear a stage, you must collect every gem scattered across the map to trigger the exit. However, the level design often makes it impossible to reach everything alone. You’ll need to use your past iterations to hold down pressure plates or trigger switches that open doors for your current self.

The catch? Physical contact is fatal. If you collide with one of your past selves, the paradox collapses, and it’s game over. Success requires you to plan your routes so that you don't "cross the streams," leaving enough physical space for your future selves to maneuver while your past selves handle the heavy lifting of the level’s mechanics.

Master the Controls

The movement feels snappy, which is vital when you’re trying to thread the needle between three or four previous versions of yourself sprinting through a tight corridor.

  • Move: Use the Arrow Keys to navigate.
  • Jump: Tap X to leap over obstacles (and your past selves).
  • Restart: Hit R if you’ve backed yourself into a corner.
  • Pause: Press Esc to take a breather and plan your next move.

Note: The game is fully Gamepad Compatible, which is highly recommended for more precise platforming. If you're on a mobile device or tablet, responsive on-screen controllers will appear automatically.
